Hi. Welcome to the Mana lab. Here is a general overview of my research interests.
We study the intersection of diet, stem cells and disease (mainly cancer at the moment). Our research encompasses the impact of various diets ranging from calorie restriction to high-fat Western diets. Questions we are eager to explore address how diets lead to cellular vulnerabilities that endow transformation resulting in tumorigenesis. This leads us into an array of fields (metabolism, epigenetics, developmental genetics, cancer biology). See our past publications to find specific projects we’ve been involved in.
