Hi. Welcome to the Mana lab. Here is a general overview of my research interests.
I’m fascinated by the biology intersecting at diet, stem cells and disease (mainly cancer at the moment). My research encompasses the impact on stems cells as a consequence of various diets ranging from calorie restriction to high-fat content. Questions I am eager to explore address how diets lead to cellular vulnerabilities that endow transformation resulting in tumorigenesis. This leads me into an array of fields (metabolism, epigenetics, developmental genetics, cancer biology). See my past publications to find specific projects I’ve been involved in.
